Let's hope they fixed the bug where WindowServer hangs up randomly after closing a Youtube tab. It's an incredibly annoying bug that's forcing me to reboot every 2-3 days. I don't browse Youtube on Safari, but as soon as

This is very interesting and not only for new employees. Founders should re-evaluate these regularly, since they are a good indicator of overall health.

It's not so conspiranoic; the agri-lobby managed to get cereals and grains (+pasta) in the base of the food pyramid, where it should be at the top, since they're essentialy refined carbs. Granted, in the 50s we didn't have th

This is very sweet, and also quite appealing even if we ignore the technological feat. I'm sure many parents will love it, great work!

I read somewhere on the internet that Twitter is a "write-only medium". As in, you write to expect feedback or exposure, but really don't care about other's tweets.

I'm now wary of indiegogo and crowdfunding laptops in general. I purchased the pi-top and, while it was a feat at the time, the build quality is so low that I just can't use it. The keyboard sucks, the trackpad is super cheap, and

The TL;DR seems to be "use libsodium". I'd love to see some discussion and first hand experiences on that, since I'm no crypto expert.

I'm 33 and FB lets me keep in touch with people I no longer see every day or even for a few months. It provides a real value for me. Many people seem unhappy with Facebook because "ugh others are stupid". Hide their posts, pr

This is probably the best free, multiplatform sqlite GUI. I've tried many apps and I've stuck with Sqlite Browser for about two years now. It's great and does its job perfectly! Can't praise it enough :)

Asterisk can be installed anywhere, for example on a VPS.

Sorry, I was being too technical. Asterisk is a PBX (the machine that routes calls) that you can install on your own server. By using it, you can control a most of the communications channels on a phone call, and do pretty advanced stuff.

We can deliver short texts and audio for free, by tweaking an Asterisk installation. It's not super convenient, but can provide an information channel for some isolated communities, and get news on weather, market prices, health, etc.

By the way, I purposely omitted most of the details, even the URL, since I really don't want this to be interpreted as spam. If anybody is curious, please check out my profile or drop a comment here for more information.
