You would think you could become good at eng. mgmt., but reality says otherwise. Most of the VP Eng's I've met are washed-up ex-engineers with no mgmt. ability either. They're just cogs in a machine or the apex of an org char

Well, Euler and Gauss knew all there was to know about mathematics at the time. That consisted of algebra up to quintic equations plus their own inventions. You'd be unpleasantly surprised if you saw a turn-of-the century-math high sch

Just correcting some vagueness from the above comment. Most tailwheel airplanes can do wheel or 3-point (stall) landings. For example, I've done both in the Decathlon, a very common tailwheel airplane. Also, I watched the video and alt

The Q400 is actually a 76-person airliner. Most airliners don't have keys, thus rely on perimeter fences for security. This single confused airline worker is going to cause massive inconvenience for other airline employees and increase

Wow. Not just cheap, but MacProject was free on the original Mac. Smartsheet has a PERT view. I've used it successfully on a short-term project with about 20 engineers. The only "configuration" I had to add was a JIRA column.

A hazmat team of 6 in bunny suits arrived each morning for the Hamilton VTA light rail stop in San Jose when I lived there. That stop has an outdoors elevator, and somebody was wiping shit all over the keypad daily. So reality is even more

For those who don't use AWS ... I use the AWS console all day every day, and I couldn't name a single icon. So my guess is they are just intended to be art icons, nothing purposeful. Or they're too similar to be mnemonic.

No, you're missing a level of subtlety. The author made it sound like there was no relationship between cuprates and copper, but in fact cuprate molecules include copper atoms. In fact, cuprates are a new family of superconductors beca

Planes don't fall, they glide. Also, dropping a few feet when you're at 20,000' to 40,000' is a small change.
