Agreed. Though this is pretty consistent with college CS/Math courses in general (at least in my experience). A lot of dense theoretical content covered in scribbles and slides. You don't really learn anything until you just do pr

Why did they move the self-driving car operations to Michigan? It would make sense if there was a business, partnership or manufacturing group out there, but they still could have kept R&D in Mountain View.

Maybe I have a poor definition of 'point of refusal', but this is the term developers use. Most developers in SF don't tell you whether they drilled down to bedrock or not.

Atheists in Turkey are safe but I wouldn't recommend going out into a city square touting atheism. I think a lot of people don't realize that you can live a western life in some Turkish cities without major issues. The risks come

Right it will be up for voters to decide. But a 2/3 majority victory is almost impossible in SF. . The ultra-progressive ballots have been relatively unsuccessful in SF lately even with 1/2 vote required to win (anti-Airbnb measur

Worth mentioning that this requires a 2/3 vote to pass which means it has pretty slim chances. The proposal has yet to pass through Board of Supervisors which always introduces its own amendments as well.

Apple can't even keep up with streets in major US cities. For instance, Long Bridge st in San Francisco does not exist according to Apple maps despite appearing in Google maps and open street maps.

Really depends on the use case. If you're trying to do streaming, spark will introduce some latency because it's based on micro-batching. Flink and Storm are better for low-latency scenarios.
