I was like this in the past. Making my first 3D game: After weeks of implementing all input, object management, culling, model loading, math lib, gfx, normal mapping, SSAA,... I had 0% progress on my game. However, for my fun hobby 2D proje

If I remember correctly, another game with a similar music system is Deus Ex from 2000. It is pretty approachable. If you own a copy, open any of the s3m music files in your favorite mod tracker editor. Each song file contains multiple ver

You are absolutely right. The inside of Osaka castle is now concrete or something. But the outside and castle grounds still look like the article picture. Himeji castle is a great recommendation.

Yeah, I heard good things about it. I do a lot of gamey development stuff and x64 makes that easier. But Asahi seems to be catching up a lot recently, maybe I should look at it again! https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=417

Currently also looking at Framework+AMD. I want Mac hardware but Linux software. The other makers build quality is horrendous. Especially in the 13inch segment which is my favorite. Using a pretty old laptop because there is no replacement

Is it still allowed to build your own house in the US? Here in Japan, it would seem almost impossible. Just recently build a house. It took almost as long to just get the approval from the city vs the time to build. Additionally, AFAIK you

This is great! I am currently thinking about getting a weekend paper newspaper like FT weekend. Reason being: I read news on my phone too often. And the news create negative emotion without being useful. News on paper and only once per week

You can see Mount Fuji from ridiculous far away. It is a real "lone mountain". While there are higher mountains in the Swiss alps, they are in between other mountains. Map from where Fuji can be seen (Japanese) https://

Second this. Even some cheap (~$30 per night) guesthouses have onsen. Also you can often get into the fancy hotel onsen by paying a small fee, even when you are not staying.
