Try to see it from the other side. The "About Thoughtworks" is just how companies talk. The fact that it looks exactly like an official ThoughtWorks PR broadside makes it even clearer which side the company is on. No "this is the private op

Thanks a lot, this is going to save us a lot of time and worry. No particular recommendation, just one vote for Rackspace images here.

As secure as the current system, which involves someone reading the number out loud over the phone. As each code is only valid for a one minute window, and our profile is not that high, I'd say sms will do.

I too have a Lenovo x220. I use Jupiter [0] to manually send the computer to "power saving" mode. With that and the extended 9-cell battery, the screen only slightly dimmed, and wifi at full blast, I get around 7 hours of battery doing brow

I said "rent medallions for five years". Not one year. You can also have the medallion be for life, but not transferrable nor inheritable.

Use a lottery. This is what lotteries are for. Allow only individual drivers to hold medallions, set a price or a profit sharing mechanism between city and drivers, rent medallions for five years instead of selling them, and award them acco

I was thinking of doing something like this without the GAE component, purely on-browser. Obviously your solution has many advantages, like automatic browser compatibility. Also, it exists. Is it open source? I'd like to help you add other

Found a bug: "instance : What you get when you tell Python to create a class." Of course, what you get when you tell Python to create a class is a class. This one should be: "instance : What you get when you tell Python to create an object

I just tried to use dryscrape [1] for a project. It's great when it works, but it's not liberal enough in what it accepts [2], so it gives off showstopping InvalidResponseErrors (which make sense when the library is using for BDD, but not w

Fair enough, but "OSX is not as well supported as I'd like" is a far cry from "has stopped development". FWIW, I get the updates just fine through Ubuntu PPAs.

Why would you think development of fluxus "has stopped"? The mailing list [1] is active enough for such a minority project, and the git repo [2] shows a reasonable activity for a mature (i.e. "done") project, with functionality commits from
