I had a wasp fly into my motorbike helmet one time. The visor was down but cracked open slightly to stop it fogging up, and it was just big enough for one unlucky bug. Luckily it didn't sting me and I was able to come to a controlled s

We've managed to crack one - no idea how, since they're never treated particularly roughly - but even then, it didn't fully break. I'm definitely a fan.

I run community drumming workshops where each participant gets a single kit drum (snare, tom or bass) strapped to them. We strip the resonant heads and mounting hardware off the drums so they nest inside each other. My Jazz (Fit) will hold

You could introduce a back to back HVDC link [1] on one of the two incoming legs, allowing you to alter frequency and phase freely. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-voltage_direct_current#Ba...

Heh, that's actually a pretty cool idea. But to answer your question, yep, long fingers: I can keep my forefinger on the F key while hitting Backspace with my pinky, and it's not that much of a stretch.

Yeah, it's weird. There was already a scare about ultrasonics being used for ad tracking in 2016 [1] so it's not like this is an unknown attack vector, and I thought the subsequent patch efforts had already added filters that stop

Here's another study for you, which shows a decrease in capacitance and increase in ESR (equivalent series resistance) of electrolytics operated in a DC-DC converter circuit at room temperature over extended periods of time. This shows

One of the videos shows other examples of similar designs, dating back to ancient China. I don't think they're claiming to have invented anything; just promoting an old but still useful technology.
