   I wouldn't call jQuery a language. jQuery is JavaScript.

   I may be missing the point but many of the items shouldn't be done on pre-lauch as indicated. ex : HTML validation, it's not a good time to do it at this time, you can mess up the whole layout because of IE. Custom 404 : a good page can be

   I'm kinda fed up with the idea PHP = beginner's stuff don't touch it (as I am a PHP developper). True it is a very permissive language with a bunch of awkwardnesses, but that's the main point of using it. Building something with a tiny LAMP
