> I'm using MVC design patterns for some codebases, I'm using DDD plus Event sourcing and Event Driven for others. All examples of OO nonsense. There is only one pattern you need (functions) (tongue-in-cheek): https:/

Design patterns exist to paper over language deficiencies. Use a language which is not deficient.

I don't know why you are being downvoted. What you said makes sense to me but I understand I know very little about how companies think. Can someone with a differing point of view elaborate?

He probably meant beer kegs. Memory map-able data is closer to sending beer cans since both are in a ready to use format.

Cars in India don't have this arrow. The inlet is always on the left (passeger) side. I wonder if there is some regulation governing this. Edit: though I have never seen / noticed any cars with the fuel inlet on the driver's

I don't think they will. There is a reason why every GPU they make (gaming or not) supports CUDA. Future gamers are future CUDA developers. Taking that away would be a self goal.

VSCode can replace within a selected block. Though it takes an extra click. I see you point.

Yes I get that its a basic requirement for some people. I am asking why.

I have rarely ever seen a problem and thought to myself I need multiple cursors. I admit it's useful for data wrangling but programming? What are people using it for? I would love to see some real world usage.

Yes, but the quality of the spec varies. For example many (most?) C programs have undefined behaviors which means the spec is incomplete and unreliable. Dafny gives you better tools to avoid this. So in the end you get a higher quality spec

IIRC the EULA forbids it. This is why you don't see .net v/s Java GC comparisons for example.

Are you now allowed to benchmark the .Net runtime / GC? Edit: Looks like you are allowed to benchmark the runtime now. I was able to locate an ancient EULA which forbade this (see section 3.4): https://download.microsoft.co

Why the hell does iOS even exist anymore? Android is useful precisely because it is not iOS. Yes it's useful even without side loading.

Obviously simulation hypothesis. The vastness of space and the limit on the speed of light suggest multiple worlds are being simulated in the same "space" such that isolation between worlds is always maintained.

Pak terrorist infrastructure is not a military target even though they are hand in gloves with the Pak army.
