I'm not saying there were no innovation at all. But 30 years have passed since Model M release, you would expect keybs to change much, much more. Also, Cherry is the only major manufacturer of mechanical switches in mass produced keybo

Have mechanical keyboards had any innovation since the release of Model M? I mean, if the technology had any potential, you would see it evolve over time, trying to get rid of unwanted properties (reduce weight, dimensions, loudness) while

There is a game called Odesk. You need some money to create new match and then just describe starting level in natural language. As game progresses, you will face choices, but only once per day at most. It's pay to win though.

20 eur is quite uncommon, it's usually 1 or 2 usd/eur. So I skipped reading these two lines of unassuming gray text and entered details of my disposable visa with like 5 usd on it.

Tor is not the only tool out there to protect privacy/circumvent restrictions. It has flaws by design, such as all traffic has to pass through limited number of known exit nodes, and you cannot easily filter out unwanted stuff, so a CA

I'd love to see some valid reasons for using Tor to browse HN. To discuss solutions, you need to define the problem first. I don't know, use a VPN service or set up your own?

I remember a bunch of problems have been discussed earlier [1] concerning node.js on Windows, such as file-system path length limits and broken symlinks and lack of modules actually tested on Windows. That was almost a year ago, so how do t

Publish the full list somewhere maybe? It's trivial to set up a Node app to get all 1.8k unique words from /shortname/domain, so you are at risk of getting unintentionally ddosed this way.

A suggestion to all theme designers, if I may: Line numbers are visual noise most of the time and can be distracting. Make them transparent, so I see them only when I'm looking for them. Same goes for indent guides, but make them sligh

It's not terrible. It does it's job well enough, ads can be easily disabled via advanced settings, it works in portable mode without even having a chance to install bundled crapware, the UI does not make my eyes bleed.
