Have any of you with corporate-type proxies been seeing authentication issues? Since moving to Chrome 69 a number of our users are reporting repeated proxy auth prompts when this should normally be handled transparently by Kerberos.

I've added a friendly nod to this as well. If I get a nod back, odds are MUCH better that I've been seen. If I don't, lots of caution is used.

Yes. I use old school Quicken. I manually enter transactions to categorize them (most are split -- so anything automatic based on retailer doesn't work well) and then I use automatic reconciliation against the banks' online stuff.

I'd really like to know the mechanism used for this. Currently Apple has issues with macOS firmware updates done on networks with proxies. Specifically, the Touchbar updates have no concept of proxies and will cause the machine to appe

As a suggestion, I use Glacier (with Arq) as a tertiary backup. If I have to go to that it means a lot of other things failed and I'll be willing to pay the price.

In reality, a huge number of modern IV drip machines plug into the wall for power and get their network connectivity via 802.11. This is to allow remote configuration and status monitoring.

Excellent; thank you! JOSM / OSM is the basis for a lot of mountain bike trail mapping work that I do. Another source of imagery will just be cake. (GPS traces only go so far...)

Darn... Doesn't look like this is in a JOSM [1] release yet. Really, really looking forward to this. (Mapping areas near my house, especially parks, is something that I find to be a great way to relax in the evenings.) [1] https:/

I was unaware that he died. :\ He's sort of a local legedend here in SE Michigan. I wish I'd known about his funeral, the funeral home is a few hundred feet from my house.

When much younger and a much more naive about recruiting practices, this happened to me. I went to an interview, the interviewer started asking me a bunch of Novell server question, and I got confused saying I didn't really know that.

The exact same thing happened in cycling, particularly mountain biking. Here in Michigan starting with the time change, 50% of riding (for those who work) is in the dark. Not only did LEDs make it cheaper and easier for us to get lights, th

What flavor is your toothpaste? Outside of "Wake up with minty fresh, mentholated breath" there's no flavor specifics mentioned that I could find. So, is the flavor mint-menthol? Which kind of mint? (I personally, somewhat di

This is exactly why I don't have an eBook reader. I don't do a lot of reading where an eBook reader would be handy, but I tend to keep a paper book handy, especially when traveling. There's absolutely no restrictions on when

This is because, outside of the object fetishization of books, they are really just a transport/storage layer. It's the content which matters, and as with other content, making it convenient is important. Your local library as a k

I mountain bike regularly, and I actively counter-steer all the time. It's super obvious if you know what to look for. I personally most feel it when doing fast, flat, sweeping turns. I lean the same direction as the turn, and the bike

I'm in the Detroit area as well, and about 10 years ago I almost ended up in the SF bay area. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't. I work for one of the big 3 and while I don't make nearly what I would if I was out on the w

If you have good double-glazed windows, the snow doesn't usually stick. It'll build up in the corners, though... Or of there are screens over the windows it can stick to the screen. (This focus effect is almost as if there is a sc

To add, they sorted it out by adding an option on the site to retrieve the license code. I've now got an Arq 5 license and lifetime upgrades. I think that having Arq back up to spare space at a Linode VM is a great way to use it.

Any of you know how to get your license code for an upgrade? I have the original email from when I bought Arq 4 in 2014, and it contains a license file. This is an XML with sections like 'id' and 'licenseKey' but neither

Is there a way to query OSM tags directly to build maps? For example, I do a bunch of mountain bike trail mapping, and due to judicious tagging I can pretty easily select all the assets I'd like in a map with a series of queries. Can I
