"localhost" is hardcoded to resolve to "127.0.0.1" (ignoring IPv6 for now). The "is secure context" state applies to 127.0.0.0/8 (again ignoring IPv6). See NetAddr::IsLoopBackAddressWithoutIPv6Mapping in

Looking at the code in the DNS service in Firefox, it kinda looks like this for localhost: 1) If IPv6 disabled in prefs or caller explicitly requested IPv4 only, 127.0.0.1. 2) If localhost explicitly listed in the IPv4-only domains list in

The latter. You can always set your /etc/hosts or equivalent to map "localhost" to some random IP that is not loopback. Or a proxy could proxy that hostname, etc. In the new setup proxies can't proxy localhost unl

If the script were at the top, it would run before any of the rest of the JSON gets inserted into the DOM, so it would (1) not have access to it (unless it sets up an async callback to do it) and (2) not be able to remove it from the DOM (u

You first two bullet points are correct. For the third one, there's no "skipping over" involved. The <html> and <body> opening tags are optional in HTML. The browser sees some non-whitespace text (the opening &#

Getting rid of accommodations in general is not the right thing to do, and I am very glad that you were able to get the sorts of support you actually needed, as opposed to just the cookie-cutter extra time on exams. That said, giving time a

One option, if you have a reasonably low student-to-instructor ratio: make it an oral 1-1 exam for each student. A video call with the instructor and the student; you ask questions, they answer. If you have 20-ish students, it will eat up

For what it's worth, Rosetta 2 does claim to support JITs (which is a pretty neat trick), and the release notes for Firefox 83 claim it should work fine under Rosetta 2 on the M1.

You have to keep in mind that the way tax collection worked in that area at the time is that it was contracted out by the state. The contractor needed to deliver some amount of money to the state, and empowered to gather money from people;

FWIW, I've been using HP lasers for the last 12 years. The first one started getting a bit wonky after 9 years and I replaced it; the new one has been fine. We do a middling amount of printing (~10,000 pages over those 9 years, iirc)
