I've still failed to get anyone to officially contact me on this matter. Exhausted every possible recourse I could think of. Any time I actually get a human involved, they just pass me off to some online form or say they can't hel

Yeah that letter is basically blaming me, the recipient, for them damaging the sender's package in transit. Truly there is no end to USPS' classiness.

He had to limit the insurance due to both a) difficulty proving the value of retro games no longer for sale, and b) legal restrictions in Germany due to Hartz IV.

It means I won't be getting these games ever now, that much is for certain. Even if their story about "the machine at my label" is to be believed, I am now tasked with asking them to "please find my box. It's the br

I mean, it was great when CSD fans had their Gnome 3, and title/menubar fans had their Xfce. The points I listed aren't just "harumph I don't like change!" complaints, they're actual usability issues for me. I

Not really, no. Most of what I use are FreeBSD tools I wrote. So it's mostly just connect cart, turn on SNES, run commands on the terminal, log the resulting SHA256 and cart serial#s into a database, move ROM to archive, rinse repeat.

Thanks for the kind words. And afraid not. I am willing to drive there, but only if I know it's possible to get my package that way. It's a ten hour drive.

Yeah. Truth be told, I've had around 400 mail shipments to complete my US set, and another 900 or so to complete my Japanese set. Even the last 100 games made it just fine. Never lost a package of any importance until now. I honestly d

Ouch, that's a good point. If you don't mind a question ... I was thinking about taking out a loan again once it was paid off in order to pay my house mortgage down to 78% so that I can knock off the $200/mo PMI. If I then co

I'm only 33, and the 401K loan automatically takes money out of each paycheck until it's repaid. I believe it was a 72 month loan? Might've been shorter. So, pretty sure it won't be a problem before I retire. Of course,

I feel like they still have a choice ... at least for now. CSDs are still optional in GTK3. True, they are forced on for the common dialogs, so if you use GTK's file chooser or font picker, then you're going to end up with them. B

I've gone as high as I could before the body load became truly threatening. That's around 5-6g of cubensis, or 50mg of 4-AcO-DMT. Psilocin and its analogs tend to cause hypothermia for me that gets worse as dosages increase. Freez
