Well, sticking with outdated 30-year-old defaults seems to be par for the course when it comes to Linux. I just wish there was an OPTION to change them (especially when Linux fans keep pushing the narrative about how much more customizable

I have recently put Fedora with KDE on my work laptop and here are a couple of reasons off the top of my head (I believe I have come across more, but can't remember them right now) why I'm currently not considering switching from

Is housing in Japan affordable? From what I have heard, it might be OK outside major cities, but the most desirable jobs seem to be overwhelmingly centralized in those cities.

I have first seen this tech demonstrated in 2012, but apparently the idea dates at least as far back as the early 2000s or even the 80s (EDIT: the 80s ones I had in mind were probably different). I was pretty hyped for it back then, but the

There's no better way to make companies fix your issues than publicly dragging them through the mud. I had a relatively minor issue with a paid battle pass in Paladins, a F2P game by Hi-Rez. After they had stonewalled me for over a mon

TBH, as I'm on the pay2own team, I haven't given it that much thought. However, I think some sort of pay-as-you-go model would be the most fair. For every minute the software is active in (user interaction or processing some task)

Ignoring all the issues around ownership, corporations being untrustworthy, etc., I think one of the biggest problems is that subscription costs aren't flexible enough and require too much micromanagement. You use a program 24/7 f

One thing I don't understand is why people like these embrace religion instead of rejecting it - aren't most tied to centuries-old, powerful and somewhat shady/mysterious organizations?

I have a couple which others haven't mentioned yet. I have very little/no experience with them, but what I have read about them matches your criteria, so they might be worth a look. Crystal (like Ruby but fast and statically typed

I feel like you don't need a study for that, just some relatively simple math (don't ask me for it, I suck at it). However, anything above 0 is too much to be allowed.

I have no experience with setting up pricing for stuff, but I feel like it could have helped if you already had pricing information in place before your free beta, even if it was just an estimate. Make it clear it won't stay free forev

I would recommend allowing people to just pick a name and hop in. One of the keys to the success of web games is that there's (often) literally no barrier to entry, including the need to create an account.

TBH, there are people way more qualified in this area than I, but AFAIK Intel CPUs run at the turbo speed as long as they have sufficient cooling, and the benchmarks run at maximum performance available, which would be 4.7GHz in this case.

You appear to be correct. I dug around a bit, and on Intel's ARK there are 2 numbers: Processor Base Power (125W) and Maximum Turbo Power (241W, same as the one used with the benchmarks). It appears the Processor Base Power might be a

Not sure about that one; TDP isn't exactly the same as actual power consumption, but for i9-12900K it is more than doubled.
