I have never been into sneakers...in 1989 I wanted Jordans but they cost $120 at the time and I was only 9 and my parents said no. They insisted that they weren't any better than "Fives" (generic shoes we would get at Big 5)

React Native using Expo is a good stack to use. Development is easy with solid build and debugging tools.

The cost of raising 4 children will exceed the tax savings. I couldn't find the numbers for Hungary, but in the US the average cost to raise a child through age 17 is $250k. The average federal taxes are $9k per year. So 4 kids would c

I rarely talk with companies who are open to remote work I have only searched for 100% distributed companies, ignoring companies where remote is not the default situation. I even avoid companies that offer remote but have a central office

Why do you hate California? In your field (analytics and data science) remote work should be an option, then you could live anywhere.

I started at $30k in 2004 and by 2017 I made $200k. It is about 18% on average. The biggest jumps in a single year was 2009 going from $55k to $80k in a 3 month period, 2011 going from $80k to $110k, and 2013 going from $117k to $140k by us

One big problem with your approach is when one person's value depends on another. Say I build the app but marketing doesn't sell it?

I've seen it time and time again. An employee wants a 10% raise but management says no and the employee quits. Then after a long search a new hire comes in at 10% more. Why not just give the existing employee that 10%? I think the reas

Is it realistic to expect to get 25% of a market you are newly-entering? I would say 1% or 2% would be more realistic, especially given the incumbents.

I've been the incoming dev on a project like this. The CTO (a brilliant architecture guy who hadn't written code in a long time) built a proof of concept in a spaghetti of c# and PHP (drupal). It was an absolute mess, but it worke

The ones with outdated UIs have a captive market because the market is so small that no one bothers to compete. There are only 200,000 physical therapists in the US.

Elevator safety code requires a working phone, so if that was broken, you should report it. There should be a current inspection certificate (less than a year old usually) and that should have been tested during the inspection.
