Wind powered craft are generally powered by deflecting the wind at an angle, rather than using the wind behind them to travel forwards. It's the same reason that sailboats can move into the wind. It's very hard for me to explain w

i really like vite, my biggest complaint with it previously was that it used the incredibly slow babel in development. i'm very happy to see it's moving to swc, this will hopefully make large sveltekit projects not use all of my b

obviously this isn't a solution to the issue of scrollbars being too small, but middle click scrolling is actually pretty good if you want to scroll quickly without dragging the scrollbar

remix comes with the main caveat that if your API is slow or very far away you will end up with a slow frontend, whereas next.js prerenders pages meaning they're always going to be fast. obviously this doesn't matter that much if

running a local resolver that validates DNSSEC is all well and good for the HN crowd, but for the 99.9% of people that do not know what DNS is, let alone what a "stub resolver" is, DNSSEC would be more of a hinderance than help. a

There's another option which in my case is much cheaper (and subjectively easier): buy a mazda2 for dirt cheap and only use it when you can't use public transport. Not only does it work out to be cheaper, it's also (in my o
