You are asking a very broad question without really indicating what your requirenments are. I use Mailchimp for my project https://dndemail.com . It has been a great way to launch my solo project. MC has been great primarily beca

All of my remote contractors invoice me weekly. We just use a shared google spreadsheet that track times on one tab and sums it on another by week. I actually handle payments via xoom.com -- it is now owned by paypal. It takes a little work

I launched https://dndemail.com last year -- it adds do not disturb to your Gmail on all your devices. I built it for myself and released it because I found it so useful.

I do this 100% using Google Analytics. After installing GA, be sure to: 1. Set up EVENTS to track your conversions directly in GA. Be sure to include any type of funnel action as an event to track. 2. use EVENTS to track ANYTHING of signifi

I agree that marketing cannot be learned overnight, but it can be learned. All the info you need is free or cheap online. The tools are readily available and cheap to use. As developers, if we can learn how to market our software, we can un

I launched a web app in 2017 as a solo entrepreneur. I have been focusing the last 6 months on marketing. Here are a few things I did to get started: 1. Commit to spending at least 50% of your time on marketing. For every hour of coding, do

Point taken. For me, you don't market and code at the same time. Pre-Launch of MVP: spend 90% coding, 10% some preliminary marketing. After-Launch: Spend 90% of time marketing, 10% bug fixing. In the Marketing phase, it is a mistake to

I just downloaded Contexts.app -- I am using hyperswitch right now, but Contexts has some interesting tricks. I never have too many windows open, so I don't know if window search is necessary for me, but I like the CMD-Tab implementati

Yes, I use osx's built in workspaces. I have 2. One for coding and one for email/office apps. That limits the number of windows active in any workflow. I also use hyperswitch, which improves cmd-tab on osx.

I built something just for email. https://dndemail.com keeps your inbox empty and only delivers your new messages on a set schedule. That keeps me out of my inbox and focused on my real to do list.

Just to back this up -- I launched https://dndemail.com on Google Cloud earlier this year. I have 250 users and still haven't used the full $300 credit. It was a great way to prototype, test, and launch.
