As a man, with an introvert partner i can say this is just what life is. I have to also push her to come to social events with me, and even though it exhausts her, she feels better after. Putting this on gender is such a weird thing to do.

you are right. what they propose is called "deep ignorance" and is not a fix to alignment. the perpetrator just has to supply a volume of bio-textbooks and let the model figure out the DNA synthesis. (just) corpus-level alignment

you dont need to reproduce it, if you can finetune it. The alignment in these models is really narrow, it doesnt take many finetuning steps to get out of the alignment basin. the alignment is not data centric but done after the fact using R

as the other reply, you should still teach your toddler why they should not do certain things. That might be the bridge building. Not demonizing a person for their needs, but instead making sure that their strategy of getting their needs me
