He was never a character driven author, just plot driven, which I preferred more. Things happen to people rather than people happen to people; I get enough relationship drama in real life. If you really want a deep dive, go reread the 4 Rin

Niven's been one of my favorite authors. Amazing mind. The Bobiverse Books by Dennis Taylor are great, as is everything he's written. The Outland series is shaping up, and Roadkill was a joy.

Yes. A place design that's 70 years old has had THOUSANDS of bugs fixed. I'd rather fly on a new 737 than an "all new 797 or A390". Side note: I know there isn't a 797 or A390 yet, that was the intent of the stateme

This is why for my Mac needs I have a cheaper Mini. If I'm going to have to be stuck with 8GB or pay insane markups for 16gb, I'll get the 8GB Mini, and only do the purely Mac-centric stuff on it to minimize pain.

No, he wasn't forced to buy Twitter, but he didn't want to pay the $1bn deal failure fee, so instead he spent $44bn to buy Twitter and drive it directly into the ground. But he COULD have just paid $1bn and walked away.
