It's nice to have more context, but posting all of this seems ill advised.

For me YouTube is unusable without Premium. But they keep raising the price, and at some point I'll balk.

The tri-state area never got the memo. All the malls are alive and well.

It sure would be nice if Nvidia just named the new card 4075 or something. The whole 4070 vs 4070 Super vs 4070 Ti vs 4070 Ti Super naming scheme sucks.

I don't think MS expects this to really happen. It's negotiation, designed to make OAI's board come to their senses and reinstate Altman.

Lay some sheets of plywood down in the attic. Then you'll be able to move around easily. Up there you have direct access to the walls of your rooms so you can drill a hole and drop ethernet cable down behind the wall.

I had a similar experience. Song stuck in my head for years. Finally found it. I honestly felt a little sad when I finally found out what it was. I think I'd somehow grown attached to the mystery of it.

Yeah, the only time I go to the store is to check out a new product in person. Even if I decide I want it, I go home and order it online.

Yes, I was going to make the same comment. Fully sick of seeing it. It's silly and just detracts from any legitimate argument that might be there.

Yeah, I agree. If anything, it's actually surprising how few truly good games are ever released. There is still a massive opportunity for indie games.

I'm afraid if the solution is to "redesign the global political system" and "redesign society" we're in trouble.

I recently bought a Nest thermostat and regret it. Two months in and the wifi went bad. Apparently a common problem. Support agrees to send me a replacement, but they end up sending it to the wrong address.

People are going to want to host their own AIs. They'll want to know they are having private conversations with AI and that their AI can't be "killed" or altered.

I'm sure I'll change my mind as this tech improves, but having AI generate code goes against every instinct I have. Way too easy for there to be a subtle bug in the code among other problems. It makes me wonder though if AI coul

The article called them 5-inch disks, which immediately bothered me. C'mon, you can't just round it off. We always referred to them as 5 and a quarter inch floppies.

That was my reaction too. I've been around a while and none of this sounds like anything new. In fact, as a whole things have gotten better than they used to be.
