Can someone explain why I keep seeing Zoom on the frontpage? What sets it apart from the rest that it gets discussed on HN so often recently? Is it a YC company?

I think one can make an argument that left-leaning media is certainly elevating arguments that Trump is the one individual that is most to blame for the spread of the virus and the economic impact. Partisan paranoia runs deep on both sides

Girlfriend works in hospitality, and her entire team was laid off today. That makes it feel pretty real.

Girlfriend is picking one up at the store right now. A little surprised how hard and fast this came on. Was at a launch party (unfortunately) four hours ago and just had the scratchy throat. Thanks for the concern!

Live in the Portland area and am coming down with a bad cold that started this morning and is getting progressively worse. I know I’m in a state of paranoia, from checking the news too often, but I can’t help but to have fears of the worst.

Being served by Node.js isn't really a selling point to most people, but I applaud the effort none the less.

React.js is literally the only reason I'm still in software engineering. I know I should learn Scala and be a full stack developer again, but at almost 34, I really feel like I've found my niche in frontend React development. I tr

The author made some interesting arguments, but they lost me with their insistent jabbing at the upper management man cheating on his wife, the racist divorcee dad, the boring date, her friends cheating boyfriends, etc. The not-so-subtle po

Are you suggesting you can't write accessible Web applications without using semantic HTML?
88.
by burgerzzz 7y ago
I understand writing semantic HTML helps with accessibility, but it is by no means a silver bullet.
89.
by burgerzzz 7y ago
Don't get me wrong, I used to write as semantic HTML as I could; nav for navigations, table for table's, aside for well asides, etc as the author suggests, but ultimately it just really doesn't matter. nav and div render exa
