Yeah – we love all of these new databases, we actually partner with Cloudflare, Turso, etc... to make sure we can provide the best experience possible.

So we support it in Outerbase Cloud, and we will get to work on adding support for it to Studio as well. In the meantime if you want you can check out our cloud-offering, we have a very generous free tier!

Yes! I too am not a huge command line fan (unless it's git for some reason), my background is actually in design so it was really painful trying to access DBs at first and the only options were the CLI or tools that look like they were

Yeah that's been another big part of this too, making sure it's a simple way to support these new and lightweight but powerful databases!

Thank you Johtso! Glad you have been enjoying it :) Yeah definitely it's been a challenge to think about how we want to bring it over, probably going to do a bring your own key experience for the AI that way we're not eating the c

Thank Paul — Supabase has always been such a huge inspiration for us! Yes you can spin up sqlite directly in the browser, and on the local studio version you can actually spin up both MySQL and Postgres instances. You have to have docker ru

Happy to answer any questions around this! As far as next steps we are going to be adding in more database support as well as bringing in some of Outerbase Cloud's AI features.

I am sure wheelwright's felt the same way... I just saw a realtime generative minecraft demo, your head is in the sand if you think this is hype.

This mindset is tiresome, especially seeing it on Hacker News... I literally went to the cheapest state school in rural Pennsylvania and still was accepted into YC. My co-founder didn't even finish college, at some point I think people

Honestly this is the same level of snarkiness of saying, "Be a web company." in the early 2000s YCombinator is a tech investor, of course they are investing in the future. It just so happens that in this current tech cycle AI is t

Saw this on a conspiracy theory subreddit recently, thought it was absolutely hilarious: "Boy I love trapping demons in microscopic silicon megastructures to do my bidding, I sure hope nothing goes wrong"

I recently launched www.64.surf that uses the URL to send files, obviously a much smaller file size, but was fun to build regardless. Basically, base64 encode the file, inject it in the URL and then allows you to share it with other people.

We use them pretty frequently and are even working on releasing our own web component library. I wouldn't recommend using it yet, it needs to be documented better, but here it is if you want to check it out. https://github.c

It's great to see an article not bashing them for once. I love the idea of them not having to compile and the fact they just work in the browser. They aren't without their flaws but I'm hopeful that they'll continue to p

No, there's no traditional database-level locking here. The Durable Object itself is single-threaded, so you don't have to worry about multiple things trying to change the same data at the same time. As far as scaling yeah there a

Isn't this how open-source works. Sure it sucks. However creators can pick a different license, like AGPL, if they don't want something like this to happen. I saw someone on x/twitter post this: Neovim is a fork of Vim which
