> The CPU innovation stagnation between 2012-2017 has resulted in 4 cores still being an acceptable low-end CPU in early 2022 I recently got M1 Max MacBook, and I was expecting a huge jump from my 2010 Mac Pro, but on my day-to-day work.

I have been seeing issues with Cloudflare too. Usually very unexpected. Also with Cloudflare I hit more to issues with country borders even when there should be Cloudflare in my country. E.g. some content is blocked with Cloudflare as the s

I think this was speculated over a year ago. Similarly to lab theory. Animal is still to be found. As is the hard evidence to any theory.

To me the last 15 years of web dev has really felt like a misstep. But that was needed, I guess. Now we know better how to re-invent the server wheel. I welcome this.

Getting stuff on PagaRank feels a game. Getting stuff out of Google feels a game too. To the point that moving to an alternative feels worth it, at least to try.

I have couple of questions, if there are two main theories: virus came from lab or through evolution: 1) can artificial viruses be injected in wild animals? (I guess so) 2) can that animal then pointed as a natural source? (I guess so) I as

There is no Hypermedia with REST APIs, so let's call them HyperText Transfer Protocol APIs. But wait, there is no HyperText transferred with most of the APIs. What if this happens on top of TLS, is it then Transport Layer Security wrap

This could well be reason to prohibit such research. When things go wrong, they will be covered. It took WHO over a year to be able to enter China. And what did they do? Release a memo denying laboratory theory without any evidence. No bat,

I remember the analog era. That lasted quite a while and it worked well (bad signal just meant a slightly more snow in a picture). Then on digital era I have already transitioned from DVB-T to DVB-T2. When changing a channel in those 70ies

Another example is to light up a candle, then use a peltier element and a heatsink to generate electricity. Then use that electricity to power a led. The outcome is that you have some of the candle light, but you will have a much more light

"Stuck" might be a wrong word. OpenResty actually dropped support for Lua and is now LuaJIT only. LuaJIT is a fork of Lua 5.1, but it has features from 5.2 [1] (and from later versions where it sees fit). Because of this, Lua 5.1
