Please explain, what exactly are you doing that the standard look at the charge curve and compare with battery voltage and use known charge current and time won't solve? This is pretty much how all the battery capacity estimators work

Great, leave the device unplugged for a few weeks and any residual charge will drop off enough to invalidate your battery keys. That'd be a shit show.

Theoretically they could properly detect a crappy replacement too by doing some basic math to determine approximate capacity. I'm not sure of the situation on iOS but on Android tools like Accubattery do a decent job of this. As such,

It seems a bit of an oversimplification, but it is the impression I get. Many of the decisions we must make are between those of freedom and security. The security argument is easy, especially after a tragedy, but the slow erosion of rights

Considering now that many 8chan users have moved to ZeroNet and Tor based sites, what would shuttering such things mean? I worry that it sets an extremely dangerous precedent, I don't want a Chinese-style great firewall, blocking all p

Am I reading this right? If WhatsApp and similar are no longer able to implement End-To-End crypto because they have to use an Apple API which supports only specific protocols, this is going to be a huge loss for users. I've considered

I use runit for pretty much everything now, I love it, no need to worry about if you're running BSD rc, systemd or sysvinit, there's always a runit package available that integrates with it and it handles logging so nicely.
