I completely agree, they answered as you or I would have, or even better; if we were in the same situation! It’s more interesting that Zuckerberg would ask this, at least to me.

Seems like Zuckerberg had already made up his mind and needed an engineer to positively confirm his desired path through a very power imbalanced chat... No shade towards the engineer at all, but besides the very first "My instinct is”

I assume, as an ex Microsoft person, that’s due to shipping the Org chart at a team level. Each sub package of the azure cli probably has it's own team that hates talking to anyone else, so implements the versions of just what they nee

If you care about your data, you want ECC. If a bitflip happens in memory, zfs will for example, not catch the error and happily write out the corrupted file.

If your router supports port mirroring, you could offload this to another computer and mirror the WAN (or all the LAN) ports to that computer?

And it doesn’t even line up with the actual instances you’ll be offered. At one point I was using some random Nvidia A10 node that was supposed to be similar to Standard_NV36adms_A10_v5, but was an NC series for some reason with slightly di

Echoing others, everyone knew this but we do need to actually test and prove it. My cat knows speak, sit, 360, shake, nose kiss, and up as far as tricks go. Originally, we paired both a hand motion and the word. Now, either works. I can mak

They’ve been sorta good, but rumors if things like this have been persistent for a decade. Photographers would get a few copies of a lens, and then return copies ones that were not up spec. B&H would allegedly just relist those as new,

I have 41k photos in my Lightroom catalog, I’ve checked it out. That doesn’t work when I want to use Capture One, Lightroom does not apply Phase One calibration profiles which makes it useless for them, or my own raw processor for Sinar dig

Something like this just for photos has been in the back of my mind forever - it would be really nice to have a virtual folder built from images where the exif data says you used X camera or took the photos on X date. This would be useful f

You could probably do so with something like this right now, pointing it at the ribbon: https://pki-electronic.com/products/audio-surveillance-equip... Or just a sheet of glass in front of the singer.

Packages existing and the software actually working are very different things. You can run rocm on unsupported GPUs like a 780m, but as soon as you hit an issue you are out of luck. And you’ll hit an issue. For example, my 780m gets 1-2 inf

Vagrant is still kicking! But yeah not as popular as back in 2014-2016? A hybrid(?) alternative is enroot, which is pretty neat IMO, it converts a docker container into a squashfs file that can be mounted rw or used in an ephemeral way. ht

I would be really shocked if that part actually happened. Major state universities don’t blackmail random students to write software for them. They make RFQs and send them to companies. There’s a software procurement process. 0 chance some
