I own a Tesla, and I'm not a Tesla apologist. There's tons of stuff that is just wrong about that car (the UI for example, is a dumpster fire). That said, I recall hearing some stuff in the early Tesla days about how the cars coul

I only have my own experience to draw upon, so I may be an outlier, but I didn't buy a Tesla because of its Autopilot feature. If they pulled the feature today, I'd be totally fine with that. As a user of Autopilot, it's abso

I drive a Tesla. If my car rear ends another car, that's my fault. Doesn't matter if I had Autopilot on or not. Imagine if you were rear ended by a Toyota and the driver said "it was on cruise control, shrug ." Would yo

I'd be surprised if doing this wasn't considered illegal in some states. At the very least, the interviewing company might be able to sue you or the original candidate for fraud. Laws or not, this also sounds completely unethical.

I think you mean severance agreement. Had I talked about how I was fired, I wouldn't have seen a severance agreement from that company. If I'm misinterpreting what you're trying to say I'd encourage you to make it easy f

Knowing the name of the first company doesn't help make my point that lawyers may advise you that you can't win a fight with a crappy company. I considered naming my current company but didn't want to be called out for promot

I forgot to mention: the company that fired me did offer a severance package, though if I'd accepted it, I would have needed to agree to never talk about the circumstances of my leaving the company. It was worth every penny I didn'

I've been in a similar situation as that described by the author, and went shopping for lawyers. The four lawyers who would even talk to me basically said this: Even if you have documentation, there's nothing stopping a company fr

I'll assume you're being hyperbolical. By all measurements the latest Safari, whether on the desktop or mobile device, is as "modern" a browser as any of the others. I frequently build PWAs, and see no more friction buil

I own an M1 Macbook Air. At its hottest, it's a fraction of the "normal" heat that my year old Intel based Macbook Pro runs at. To get the M1 warm, I need to be charging it while also playing an Intel based game like the late

Saying "I took a break due to stress or other mental issues" isn't semi-honest - it's simply true. Personally, I think it's still worth avoiding. It's similar to how, at least in the US, saying "I'll
