Yes I really don’t a reason to not switch all my team to use GLM 5.3 for planning, and Flash for implementation. This really does seem apocalyptic for Anthropic and OAI if more of the industry switches.

I’m more than happy to let SpaceX burn out over the next few years now that they’re public and their last quarter financials showed the emperor is without clothes (muh space datacenters).

I’m in Australia and I love going to my local Costco with my wife monthly to load up on meat we re-portion and freeze. Calling it an exotic experience is a little much, they operate in 14 countries, I’m just there for the bulk savings with

I hate AI video, I hate AI art, but if you are pretending that AI isn’t going be writing code for 99% of projects going forward you are absolutely kidding yourself.

All of their comments are either a) "this OCR is bad", or b) "here is my team's OCR, it is good". Quite blatant.

The obvious knob to turn here is that the floor price of ad auctions will be incredibly high, with the justification that AI is expensive. As someone outside of the ad-tech space it blows my mind how much Instagram and Google ads cost these

More like Cuomo screwed Sliwa, if Cuomo wanted to run against the Democratic candidate, he should have ran as a Republican. He already lost the primary and took his sour grapes to the general.

At the start of the “LLM boom” I was optimistic that OAI/Anthropic were in a position finally unseat the Big 4 in at least this area. Now I’m convinced the only winners are going to be Google, Meta, Amazon, and we are right back to whe

I very much agree from contractors I’ve worked with from Poland and the like, but the same areas don’t produce a lot of international software companies. Lack of capital for venture businesses in those regions? Hard to pin down.

I don't like David or Chamath, but it is quite mind-blowing how little Jason C seems to have accomplished vs. the other two, his entire claim to fame appears to be trolling online and being close enough to the rest of the PayPal mafia

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was across the board for buses into lower Manhattan/around bridges into Manhattan. When living in cities I usually use both buses and trains but when living in NYC I tried to avoid buses when possible as

This is very cool! Nice to see there is something in the space to unstick some very stressed out Bench customers. Making sure everything reconciles definitely makes sense, I’ve worked on ledger systems in the past so I always look at these

I’d argue detailed accounting data is reasonably hard to package up into a nice format to easily import into a new system, especially having confidence that you migrated everything successfully without getting a nasty shock a few months dow

I’m unclear on how you “port” a library from Python to Rust, it’s a ground up rewrite with a familiar interface to pip but fundamentally doesn’t share any code.

I’d been suffering from some “depression lite” symptoms, mostly generalized anxiety since 2020, maybe long covid, who knows, and a reasonably small prescription of Xoloft has had a huge change in my mood/life.
