I think what I found particularly beautiful about this was the first ~330k characters of ad-related CSS injected into the header presumably through Github hosting or otherwise. I had to scroll about 85% of the way down the page before I hit

Nice to see a new Mac Pro, but no one has mentioned price. The "entry level" Mac Pro from 2006 was $2199 and $2999 in 2013 (the last update). Even the top-of-the-line "trashcan" Mac Pro was ~$6500 with 12 cores. I don&#x

I've found VLC to be the only app that can play H.264 .mkv files without stuttering on my poor first-gen iPad Mini :)

As someone that historically relied on an iPad Mini for media consumption on the many weekly flights I take, it is not realistic to download 10+ GB of content directly onto the device. Especially since I don't use Apple's ecosyste

If you want a taste of the book prior to a purchase, you might explore a list of Steven's tips he has historically published on twitter[1]. The positive response to many of them likely put validity to the thought of publishing a book o

Worth noting that the $80 ($100 after initial intro discount expires), was a direct response to strong backlash after they published the original pricing two days back of $150 ($250). Twitter (where Steven and Adam are active) was fierce wi

Bank account numbers weren't leaked - the scammers simply requested the payments be rerouted to a different account. The letterhead could likely be easily reverse engineered, and I doubt the University rep knew what to look for, and th

You can see in the screenshot (scan of the email) it was a low-tech spoof. They simply bought the same domain with a different TLD (.com vs .us) There were many red flags that weren't caught, this being one of them.

I wonder this too. As a relatively young professional, I regularly have folks add me who are my age or younger (mid 20's), and have a portfolio of experience that reads as if they are a Fortune 500 CEO. Combine that with having 5000+ &

Not just Tinder, but loads of other applications that rely on FB to data or integration. Something as simple as loading Instagram stories onto a site died with an dead endpoint, despite the original depreciation being slated for December. T

Perhaps I'm naïve, but the fact this "breach" is being disclosed anonoymously, via a medium commonly associated with nefarious data dumps suggests to me that there really was little consideration paid to allowing Panera an op

To my knowledge, this is known bug in iOS that the Google auth grant inadvertently gives all permissions. You'll note that other users below report this only happening on iOS and not Android which shifts the risk away from Niantic/

I would imagine a stipulation of the original subpoena would involve not sharing the source of Lavabit. It sounds as though what Ladar has done is re-engineer Lavabit in the form of Dark Mail to bypass any gag orders.

Very cool, but I'm struggling to see the purpose of this. The time it would take to focus on the textarea/ contenteditable field, then press the icon just to begin typing from a different program seems like a waste. Either that, o

Judging on the verbiage of that splash page, it sounds like this is a utility that does nothing more than reset one's settings back to normal, while deleting, or at least disabling a majority of add-ons that may be primary contributors

If history shows us anything, iMessage is such as asset to Apple's toolbox, like Blackberry Messenger was to RIM, that Apple would likely rather go down (unlikely), then open up the iMessage platform.
