I never had an aptitude for touch typing, but became very good at hunt and peck typing. This year I finally started to use proper form and not look at my fingers to type. I’m still slower than I was hunting and pecking, but I can pretty m

Very nice and well executed. One suggestion if the dev is watching, there needs to be some logic to prevent a fruit and bomb overlapping each other entirely making cutting the fruit impossible. I don't remember having this issue with

One issue I have with going the VPS route is that what I'm charged is often not what I'm expecting. I will use estimation calculators and figure my bill will be $25/month (which I get for a couple months) and then suddenly g

I strongly disagree with this sentiment. You'd be surprised how effective people that are "smart enough" can be. I've become less and less impressed with people's innate "genius" and more impressed with

Could this all be summed up to "know your fundamentals"? I get the nuance to the rest of what he says, but I think it still falls under the "know your fundamentals" umbrella.

I guess I agree if you are talking about consumer stuff, but dev products like React are pretty amazing. Since React is open source and can be used in isolation, it’s relatively harmless in its current state and doesn’t empower Facebook’s p

They would only be terrible if they are not properly updated for a laptop experience. The Overcast podcast player is a good example of an iOS app that works great as a Mac app too.

Problem is that many, if not most, iOS apps would have a terrible user experience with a laptop touch screen. Most apps have swipes that assume a phone or tablet form factor and virtually all games expect you to use your thumbs. The better

While I agree that sound quality is likely much better with those headphones you listed, they all require an external dac/amp to realize that quality. For high end, wireless, noise cancelling headphones, this might be appropriately pr

I think it's insane to change policy intended to protect a huge segment of our vulnerable population to placate addicts. Addiction is a terrible thing (I've lost family members to it), but I'm not going to prioritize their n

It's just not scalable for most businesses as you would have to operate cache-less if you truly went javascript-less.

Technically it's possible if everything is handled server-side, so I should have acknowledged that, but IMO, it's not practical for most businesses.
