Use the AWS free tier. Add the message to a DynamoDB table with a send date. Create an Eventbridge rule that runs every month and calls a Lambda function. Have the Lambda function query the DynamoDB table and email you the message using SES

I felt the same way until I found sqlx ( https://github.com/launchbadge/sqlx ). The package lets you write sql in your app with compile-time checks. Was so much easier to get up and running than learning a new ORM.

My guess is that Salesforce execs already wanted to do this and then hired BCG to back this idea. At least, that’s how a lot of MBB consulting is.

Both Barnes and Noble and Waterstones are owned by the same hedge fund (Elliot Management). Looks like the hedge fund installed the new ceo when they purchased Barnes and Noble. That hedge fund is probably filled with MBAs.

Remote work for finance is way worse than tech. There’s an expectation that you’re on 24/7. This is opposed to in-office for finance jobs where there’s a little differentiation between being in the office and being at home.

Is there a reason for creating your own DDL? I imagine it’d be possible to use SQL DDL, introspect the database, and then generate the appropriate DDL for the migration. Does the Atlas DDL include more info over sql DDL?
