Unrelated but I’ve never really understood what to do with an error that gets returned by Close() aside from logging it. I’ve also never experienced that error being returned and don’t really understand what could even cause that.

It doesn’t save you from checking errors, and it’s not attempting to. It’s just making returned errors more useful.

I don’t doubt the author, but what is it that makes rendering a tree of objects to a table a difficult problem? Is that not what browsers do when they render a table element?

One thing I’ve really liked about using Svelte is that it’s nudged me towards using plain CSS. Since styles are component scoped it’s allowed me to just focus on applying them in the small, which I think reduces some cognitive load for me.
