I think this is an interesting problem. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr et al dominate the internet. They are mostly used for garbage. There are more people on the web now than ever and they use these platforms like they use a permanent marker an

This rumor broke a while ago so I don't remember the exact details. But essentially what I found when the rumor did break was that Apple had hired lots of engineers who specialized in the automotive industry. I looked at some of the Li

I remember there was another machine learning textbook being drafted on the web. I can't remember the name, author or url though. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Any other resources would be appreciated, too.

Why have so many people down-voted this? Lots of major news outlets openly regard the development of an Apple EV as factual. And one can see why after reviewing the evidence. Is this all wrong? What am I missing?

I appreciate your honest feedback but I have to disagree. The article was about software. The comments: > (him) This software was written in Matlab. Here is a link. > (me) Why do you think they wrote it in Matlab? I really don't

Someone down-voted me just for asking. I have no idea about any of this stuff and I was just genuinely curious. Apparently people are pretty polarized about Matlab. Thanks for explaining that to me.

The most profound thing that the internet can do for the world is create a single monolithic repository of documents that is designed to take a dedicated reader from basic principles of math to a high degree of understanding in any subject.

I think that intellectual pissing contests are disgusting. In upper middle-class institutions such as Berkley people seem to revel in it. Everybody embraces the imaginary hierarchy so completely that watching them do it makes me gag. I thin

Do modern western countries even have monogamy anymore? Cheating is so widespread that I almost want to laugh at the idea of monogamous America. Perhaps polygamy is just taking the dirty, hidden aspects of a supposedly monogamous system and

The result of this study really resonates with me. The accuracy of the conclusions it draws may be questionable, but it resonates none the less. I think that we may be finally experiencing the consequences of our irresponsible behavior in e
