I know ME got a bad rep, and I'm sure it crashed often for many, but for me it was by far the stablest 9x, and I really didn't have any issues with it. I really switched to 2000 (which was great) because I went with a dual CPU set

Here in the NL they'll soon lift the road tax exemption for e-vehicles, and since it's weight based, EV-owners are going to pay, and fuel vehicles will become more interesting again.

Cant tell if sarcasm or... All of those scams work perfectly fine, that's what they're still around. Money lost through scams is only increasing; it's a growth market.

I thought it was 3, the left lane was 160+? ;) More seriously, what car can't do 130km/h sustained? Range, sure, that's important on electric cars, but the rest? It's been a loooooong time since I heard people really car

I have one, and it works well. It's the default treatment here, where CPAP is reserved for the morbidly obese. But the effect of jaw displacement is real. Every morning it takes a few hours to move the lower jaw slowly back. And I'

Depends on the distro. openSuse encrypts all, and has (or had?) slow boot as consequence. I think Tumbleweed just switched away from Grub. The theory is that messing with boot can compromise your system and leave you vupnarable despite encr

That's more an argument against sharing anything online, because people will always be able to gather info and share it out of band if they are determined. At least the Fediverse has some tools to automate over and commercial social ne

The fastest way to cool it is to put the pan in a sink with cold water. But since that water is probably freshly tapped and thus cold, you're not really regaining heat, but rather warming the outside (if you then flush it). But I find

Hmm, didn't catch that. I see there's still _a_ Bypass add-on on Mozilla. There always were a few, and close forks last I bothered to check. Is this different?

Yeah no. It's become a bit of a hobby of mine, heatpumps. If I ask 5 experts/installers to take a look at a building I'll get 6 estimates, varying wildly. Plus, installers are still consistently over dimensioning and thus kil

I like the French now tradition of a full reboot every now and then. Cruft is qaint, but century after century or so parts become a burden. Forcing yourself to decide what to keep and what to toss is good.

I'm Dutch. Many Dutch roads are, but also here there's a difference between urban and more rural environments. My particular environment has fietsstroken on an N-weg (which is signed at 50 km/h, but people often drive faster)
