If you get bored with a project in 2 weeks then I would not try to build a business around it. If your current job is not overly stressful, then you should be able to do this for 6 months to a year.

looks expensive, you will have to put in procurement request with approval from three levels of management accompanied with a two paragraph justification of need. This will get processed in four weeks.

End users love them. Think how much TV people watch vs. how many books they read. For developers, use them for intro's and beginner material, but not a primary reference. Developers read a lot more than normal people.

Ignore the money and find your niche/domain. Then figure out how to invest in the niche to better position yourself for the future. My guess is that you will start a business to fill that niche. Most great companies started when someone had
