Why even go through that trouble? In what circumstance would you need an `otf` when a `ttf` won't suffice? (Genuinely curious, I've wondered this for a while because I've never seen something that supports `otf` but not `ttf`

All autossh does is try to keep open/restart an ssh connection as a daemon — I’m not sure there’s any benefit to it these days than just using a systemd service. That being said, as an example `ssh user@host.com -R 8181:localhost:8080`

I never heard of KKR, but I definitely wouldn’t trust Broadcom to do that software any justice. Maybe this might be better?

I’m trying (and failing) to understand the scope of this “End-User Computing Division.” Is this tools like VMware Horizon (i.e., their thin-client solution), or VMware Workstation/Fusion, or something else?

As lovely as 3x20TB RAID sounds, RAID on btrfs is never a particularly good idea. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/btrfs#Multi-device_file_sys...

I’m not aware of any HTTPS MITM that can function properly without adding its own certificate to the trusted roots on your system (or dismissing a big red warning for every site), so I don’t think certificate pinning is necessary in such an

Try https://infinitemac.org/ Pick a System Software/Mac OS version (you probably want something like 7.5), then choose the SimTower disc from the CD-ROMs drawer at the bottom of the screen.

TFA advocates strongly against long-lived branches, which I understand and agree with, but with one exception: major/LTS versions should have their own branch, so that hotfixes can be cherry-picked from main (or, rarely, applied di

I bet it’s not just Xbox, either. Maybe you’re not directly paying them money , but as someone commenting on Hacker News I’d sure bet you’re using at least one of GitHub, VS Code, NPM, or LinkedIn. And I’m sure they’re ultimately benefitin

“Turing test” is a generic phrase. You’ll likely need to see the details of the initial bet to be able to answer that.
