Just for the record: I didn't play a "card", that was a genuine question. I didn't want to escalate, I think the escalation was already done by the man who "jokingly" called his project the "Minority Repor

The nonchalance of these people is what really terrifies me. They just laugh any valid criticism off and start using the references "ironically" themselves. I don't understand how they can do that; do they not have a moral co

Somebody has told me, that this would be bad because "something" (I think entropy?). I didn't understand that. Can somebody with sense please explain if this is a good or bad idea?

Git is essentially a Merkle DAG, thus a single reference to the root object suffices. Also collisions are only practical with large amounts of padding which would be visible. That's why nobody really cares too much about them for sourc

For science: it only states "I think this may be inappropriate content so I won't show it" which is a shame :)

A city might get away with using LibreOffice, a small business however cannot. The main problem is not the program but the file formats and compatibility to other MS products. Also: in my personal opinion, LibreOffice is horribly stuck in t

So skeletons will be an even worse pain int the future? On a more serious note: I really hope they improve the mod mechanism, it's really painful to use mods as it stands. And mods are a very big part of Minecraft. As I understand it,

I have the impression that the biggest problem is that these issues are not intuitively approachable anymore. We have very similar issues with computer security. The majority of people have a totally different skillset and simply can't

Also I think I remember that the Roman soldiers had a general command to entrench if they had nothing to do. (Like a, you know, "take the broom and clean the floor if you got nothing to do" kind of rule)

I have long since come to the conclusion that most of the nodejs ecosystem is rotten. I don't even know where to begin. I'm certain this is a mentality issue more than anything.
