On wikipedia there is a quote, "I chose PJ, because it could be anyone, either sex, any nationality, anyone and no one in particular." Pointing out her sex, you're just being a jackass and for what?

Considering the ingredients, I wouldn't be surprised if a relatively large portion of the protein came from the almonds and chocolate. I never understood why people eat this crap when it's so easy to get protein from simple, natur

Mongo sucks. I've used it in production for millions of people. I would never recommend it ever again. It's convenient, about the same way a hooker is.

Something tells me Jay-Z's opinion has likely changed in the past 10 years. He isn't rapping for teenagers anymore. He says just that in his interview with Warren Buffet and Forbes.

Local meetups are a good resource. Most have mailing lists and they're often quiet, but from my experience questions are generally answered within a couple hours.

I want to say this is a relatively common practice. Kudzu is an invasive species in most of the southeast United States that spreads along roadside. We got rid of a lot if in Tallahassee, FL by using goats. I don't remember the details

Xcode has command line tools. You don't have to use the GUI exclusively. Also I know at least one developer that uses vim for editing but uses Xcode for building. It's probably in your best interest to use some combination (e.g. X

You know you can opt out of those scans? I do it all the time. I'm sure you know, but in case, it's no big deal to opt for the pat down. Just show up fifteen minutes early (yet it has only taken at most an extra 5 minute for me --

It seems you're already over the hurdle of not assuming other languages have the same grammar as English. From my experience (internationalizing a site for English and Japanese with both heavy back and front end rendering) with that gr

Elsewhere in the story the translator had a Dominican passport. It seems likely they traveled using forged documents and first, to Japan. Kind of like how Americans go to Mexico in order to get to Cuba and vice versa.

The new iOS Hangouts app is a gchat client. While I'm not sure how it's implemented, it seems they'll likely bundle gchat (and other google chat services) under the Hangouts brand.

In my experience this only works if the feedback cycle is quick. If working with a language like ruby or python and just refreshing webpages or running a script, no big deal. However, I then would have to wade through logger output to filte

Hybrid apps are prtty decent, but fall apart as the complexity grows. I'm working on integrating custom native video players into a hybrid app. It's not hard to extend features to your javascript SDK, but there is overhead and complexity co

I started their iOS book without any objective c knowledge and I'm doing fine. If you are an experienced programmer and want to dive right into iOS, I say go for it. If you like to learn conservatively, read the obj c book first.
