Can't help the feeling that no matter how good this is, the name is just going to hold it back. "Ninja" in software circles now has more negative connotations that positive ones, largely due to stupid recruitment practices. M

It's probably unavoidably a time of turmoil - with so much at stake there's a disincentive for all companies to universally "place nice". A cambrian explosion of standards and partnerships from which most likely one or t

I really, really, wish we could skip the whole vhs/betamax stage for once :-( Not only is it tiresome, it inhibits adoption across the board, we've all been there too many times before.

Exactly. Not in that position myself, but I'd guess once you have a certain level of comfort, security and perhaps the option to indulge in some of life's luxuries, it's much like electricity or running water: desperately, te

Doesn't make it false though. Perhaps the opinion of someone who's "got there" and looks back counts for something more - in some cases - than that of someone early in their journey. I'd rather this than "Yep -

Not entirely. It's necessary to encourage any reasonably open and informal exchange of ideas. Upvotes should be enough to endorse and promote the minimally good ideas, or at least the well articulated ones, for discussion.

Must admit I was quite put off by this assertion: "She cared for my alimentation. Lot’s of cod and healthy food in general. I had my first bag of chips around 10. And that’s also why I remember so much about my first years." Seems

I read this and thought: spot on. Smart enough to do well in life but not be isolated through rarefied levels of intelligence, or excessively burdened by awareness of the world's troubles, probably makes for a happy individual.

Glad it all worked out so well, what a nice story. It's crazy how much of our lives can be decided by such a small moment - like helping a couple of hitchhikers on an otherwise boring, routine day!

Agreed - one design that works for everyone would be best. All it takes is a little up front awareness and I don't think there's all that much aesthetic compromise to pay.

Some sort of colour swap could indeed be helpful, an interesting idea. In my own personal experience, though, whole ranges of colours can be confusing - for me, red, orange, green, brown can all together be problematic. And more so in some

OS integration would be amazing, could make a massive difference. I reckon any developer - or document writer for that matter, given word processors' long established support for colour - shown a "here's what I see" wou

I wonder if there's an extent to which older players have, due to experience, simply more tools at their disposal and it's a form of constant evaluation of the apt ones to use at any given time which contributes to reduction in ph

I agree with the earlier post. We need to all be responsible for our own contribution levels. At the end of the day, each of us chooses how much work to put in, and a tendency to overdo it will follow us from one job to the next unless we a
