Asking how it will fail is a gotcha? To my knowledge and experience thus far, all systems fail. The question is "given this one, that we now have a good shared understanding of, which you designed with the tools you are most familiar with,

I appreciate the feedback, but don't think I fall into, nor describe in the linked blog post, the interviewer category you describe (though it is certainly possible I do and just don't realize it). Do you consider this question to be unansw

I have done this before, usually if I am working on something interesting, and for which I don't like any solution I have yet hit on. In this case, I do the best I can to describe the problem, thinking thus far, etc, and turn the interview

I have gotten solutions which implement custom stores which I have had faith that the candidate could build, but not many. I am not dead set against it, but I will press for an estimate and a good explanation of it if they want to go down t

FWIW, I use clang over gcc (unless there is a major overriding reason to use gcc) just for the fabulous error messages. http://clang.llvm.org/diagnostics.html gives some good examples, and my experience has been that the examples given on

Drools/JBossRules is actually pretty sweet (disclaimer, I worked on it once upon a time and JBoss gave me some kick ass headphones when they bought it from Bob and Mark). They have been taking it more in the direction of a traditional busin

It sounds like you are hiring a technical employee, not a co-founder, to be honest.

Side by side, yes, they will see they are different. They won't know why though. Most people will never realize they are running a particular version, and few will even realize it is Android (vs whatever phone they have in their hand).

Hmm, that might be fun to hack on... One problem will be that AMQp is much more complicated than Stomp, and exposes a set of primitives for which there is no good analogue in Stomp -- notably bindings and queues as first class, client man
