Is wynwood tech slack group still around? There was a period a few years back when there were like 5 competing slack groups (MIA Tech, Miamitech, RefreshMiami, WynwoodTech, etc). Also Hey Joe! I used to be much more active in the local scen

When I first recruited devs in latam 18 years ago, I posted job ads in the local newspaper, local job boards, etc. (I had no idea what I was doing tbh). I think today I would reach out to the professors at the local universities, many of wh

There is an elderly gentleman (71) here in Miami Beach that has been running the same 8 mile run for 49 years now, every single day[0]. I think he's missed a few days over that span. It's both incredible and awe inspiring (and may

Why can't they put electric vans or buses in these tunnels? shuttling everyone in 4 person cars seems inefficient... Lay down a track, and they can be autonomous very easily (compared to relying on tesla self driving tech)

People often put the dogs up for adoption/re-homing, but i had never heard of someone buying a purebred adult dog. I volunteer with the Labrador Retriever rescue group here in florida and we get a ton of people suddenly deciding they n

This is neat, have lots of questions about how sturdy the connections are between TEUs. Also How difficult is it for the captains and crew to pilot a ship like this? How much cargo capacity has to be forsaken for these to be installed? 20 T

As board member of various non-profits here's my advice on this: Contribute to a few OSS projects. Don't donate 5 hours to humane society of brooklyn or wherever you are based. That won't move the needle much for humane socie

Slightly off topic, but is there a service that would quote out a new roof + solar install? We're waiting on doing solar until we need a new roof as ours is ~9-10 years old, and not near EOL.
