I worked for a company that offered ESPP decades ago. The stock had an odd habit of dipping in the middle 3 months of the period with price peaks at either end. While continuing to steadily decline YoY. The company went bankrupt about three

Yes. Etrade reports the cost basis of RSUs as $0 on the 1099. You then must manually adjust the cost basis using a second schedule that shows the value of the RSU already taxed as income at the time of vesting. If you don't make this a

Again, that’s the point of insurance. Most of us will pay more in premiums than we ever get paid in claims. A few of us will avoid bankruptcy because insurance will pay out a claim we can’t otherwise afford either through cash or any line o

The only speeding ticket I’ve gotten in the past 20 years was for speeding on the on-ramp to get up to the speed of the highway traffic. Holiday weekend, so it was stop, ticket, and release. Repeat. No warnings given.

The insurance company would argue that you drive in an area with wildlife crossings. That makes you a higher risk even if you managed to avoid this deer. You are more likely than average to encounter another one in the future and may not be

It was a tool that was either very accurate or inaccurate depending on your perspective. If DS said rain would be starting in 8 minutes, it almost always rained at my house very soon thereafter. Very accurate. However, sometimes that rain c

Short-term forecasts (1-2 days) seem more accurate than ever. However, weather as a business has meant a race at both ends of the forecast spectrum. Apps now offer minute by minute forecasts on the one hand or 10 and 15 and even 90 day fore

In my state the real benefit of taking the course it that scheduling a road test with the DMV often has a multi-month waitlist. Then, if you fail, you have to wait another 2-3 months to retest. A better lesson than the state approved course
