I think it’s great that you reduce the price for countries that are less wealthy.

I’ve heard good things about Jocko’s podcast. Do you have any specific episodes to recommend re: self-discipline, etc.?

Pretty sure the gp is referring to employees and top management, rather than shareholders. I.e. the actual daily functioning portion of the company.

I always assumed in this case that it was due to Monty Python rather than anything else (I.e. the prevalence of Falcon-name-themed high-performance frameworks is due to Monty Python).

Agreed. I replied in a sibling[0], which I think is relevant here. It seems I should definitely queue looking into what testing has been publicly done, etc. and collate that. >Would still be nice if they were both open source but hey: I

I agree with what you’re saying; you’re proposing some ideal changes. But I think given where we were as a community or what has become the norm in tracking/social, this is a great step and is a big improvement over the past. It looks

Interesting thought. I would assume some audits have been done via blackbox testing of some sort (e.g. hardware monitor, routing all traffic through a proxy and logging it, etc.) by some infosec group/Co, but I also haven’t researche

Yup, I agree there are other, more accurate representations possible. I just wanted to clarify what seemed to be conveyed by op, as there appeared be a misunderstanding based on the reply. Thanks for the additional example.

Wouldn’t LittleSnitch be ideal in this situation to assist in checking if MicroSnitch is phoning home?

I think the gp’s point was an analogy, not actually what is being used.

Somewhat tangential: have you seen GitLab’s notice? And what’s your opinion of that style, as far as informing/consent?

Yeah, generally agree with all this. I don’t think we need to shame them, as the gp initially mentions. But I personally have an interest in understanding the exact issue, seeing the response, etc. I.e. I believe there’s value in knowing th

I’ve yet to try it out, but I definitely like what I see. It appears to be very thorough and well thought out. How would you compare garie to sitespeed? Webpagetest? Again, awesome work! Following and will dig into the project this week for

Not to go ‘too tinfoil’ here, but couldn’t that also imply the source was discovered and harassed/served a gag, or something of that sort? (Purely as devil’s advocate speculation)

I read the gp comment as basically: desperately needing improvement through the entire non-lethal ‘stack’. This would include new training materials, R&D for better equipment, and so on.
