This feels like the kind of workflow that would fit me. My problem, though, is the "reviewing material I've already put away" part. I feel like I'm hoarding stuff rather than saving material for reuse. Any advice on how

I feel most "at home" in Common Lisp, though I agree that Scheme is more elegant. Speaking of elegant I recently had some fun playing around with Janet ( https://janet-lang.org ) and I have to say it is quite nice. If

Some of the comments demonstrate that there are a lot of people here who have never encountered programming in an artistic context before. That is a sad (though understandable) state of affairs.

The web audio platform has approaches that purport to work around this [0]. We'll see how that pans out (no pun intended). [0] For example: https://web.dev/audio-scheduling/

I like that this works reasonably well on mobile. I certainly wouldn’t use it that way most of the time but I waswaiting in line somewhere and was able to create a doodle with just one finger.

I'm fairly certain my life would have gone in an entirely different direction had my mom and I not decided - rather randomly - to go see this movie in theaters one weekend when I was 11.

General tips: 1. Start with a QEMU emulated device. QEMU is more forgiving than real hardware and you can study, understand, and debug the "hardware impersonation side" of the QEMU code to see what happens when you set a bit in so

I was hoping to see this announcement someday, and I'm thrilled that today is the day. Congrats, Andreas! Extremely well-deserved.

Personally speaking the answer has been mostly "practice". I realize things would suck less if I didn't let my emotions control me on topic X, so I work on that. It's simple, but it sure isn't easy.

I think we read the same book. Probably "Trading in the Zone" or one of those. I never ended up day trading much, but I sure as hell got that message loud and clear.

I've been on the search for the perfect Piano VST forever and I absolutely found it with Pianoteq 7. Unlike all the other ones I've tried where I get ear fatigue after a few minutes due to some issue I can never consciously identi

Same. It's super easy to know when I am communicating in good faith, but it's not so trivial to know when you are. You know those scenes in the movies where two characters circle around each other giving the side eye like &quo

I've actually seen literal quotes before, e.g. a question like: "Why don't you just" get a bunch of people on rafts and row real fast to push it off?

I feel like we need a "why don't you just?" safe word, where the intent is to signify "hey I'm not being a smartass, I'm really just curious about why this seemingly simple solution won't actually work&quo
