Really makes you wonder why courts don't push for poverty reduction in the name of crime reduction.

Right, but that's predictable and straightforward to manage. Lisp is far less structured, meaning there are far fewer guidelines or clear indications of intent built into the organization of the program. Or at least, there's enoug

I mean, separating files (or modules or libraries or whatever) seems somewhat orthogonal to my point—where you expect to find behavior, and what behavior you expect, rather depends on how you use lisp.

I'm tackling a significant lisp project right now, and the thing that holds me up right now is that the code is difficult to organize. Python, java, rust, go etc have well-defined patterns to figure out where code lives and where you m

Hey if that protein comes from a thing that people don't want to eat that still seems like a win. I'm guessing this is more of a proof of concept of the use of rice as a substrate for stem cells than anything.

Is there a context where time estimation is not employed, even implicitly?

Sure, but people have value outside the market economy. Corporations don't. There's an inherent hierarchy here and corporations stand under humans.

This is obviously very exciting, but—why not target Vulkan first? It seems like the more salient target these days and one on top of which we already have an OpenGL implementation.

It's inline with how the linux/floss community refers to hardware vendors in general, even if Apple is a unique case in many circumstances.

I mean if you want to provide value it is your problem. Regardless, just because HEAD requests CAN time out doesn't mean they WILL, even in good faith . GET requests will surface precisely the same behavior browsers do.

I'm going to guess that whatever is able to heal social and political (ie economic) divide won't come from capital lol—maybe the next depression might put the work in.

Sure, but if you're testing uptime, only the GET request matters. HTTP statuses are just one mode of failure. Timeouts are a major issue HEAD requests might not trip, for instance. I'm not saying my solution is without flaws, just
