I'm not sure why this is being downvoted. I had a similar experience. Witeboard seems to have trouble with curves. Trying to draw an "o" would invariably result in geometric shapes, a perfect circle, or some sort of rectangle

The response to this news on HN has been very disappointing. By contrast, there was a lively apolitical discussion[0] back in 2015 about the effort to bring Snowden back to the US. On the other hand, people now seem more concerned about the

I've never understood why people espouse China's "4000 year history". The government purged nearly all aspects of traditional Chinese society during the Cultural Revolution. If you want to be reminded of China's his

I'm similarly skeptical of the government, but this is no Lee Harvey Oswald. There's no dead president. These "double your cash" scams are widespread and some of the least sophisticated sorts of scams. It was poorly word

I just walked through Cal Anderson Park this evening. The gardens are still intact. There are huge elevated 55g drums of water for irrigation, it's hard to miss.

Probably. I live in Seattle and people seem to frequently complain about having to see homeless and other "undesirables" in their neighborhood. I love it when their posts also include stealthy photos of the offenders in question.

Making cake for the rich isn't an example of the broken window fallacy either, and I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. Cash for clunkers is an example of the fallacy, operating a vehicle (be it a car or jet) for work&#

From the video, some of the subtle strategies fascists use to code their ideas: 1) They deny being a fascist. 2) Euphemism (e.g. I'm a X, not a fascist or talking about purging criminals, rapists and terrorists which is actually code f
