I recently tried helping out my parents setup the latest Windows. I don’t wish that on my worst enemies. What a pile of garbage that OS has become. Xbox? Copilot? OneDrive? Why am I seeing ads? Bro leave me the fuck alone I just want a brow

Absolutely agree with OP. One thing I would add is, sometimes when you need some extra complexity that's too difficult to express or build in Google Sheets, one step above it is Google Colab (or any other Jupyter notebook). Before buil

I know you probably don’t want an LLM in your decompiler, but assigning meaningful names could be a good task for an LLM.

I think we tend to do a lot of idealization. The vast majority of non-techies don’t care whatsoever about decentralization.

No need for the snark, it’s very obviously a flawed heuristic which can obviously be improved with some adjustments. But this isn’t meant to be a research proposal. It was a simple example meant to illustrate a simple point. Point being, so

>Fb is adding LLMs to all its products, too. FB’s efforts so far have all been incredibly lame. AI shines in productivity and they don’t have any productivity apps. Their market is social which is arguably the last place you’d want to pu

For some grounding, I would like to see how many US citizens migrate to those happy countries vs how many happy citizens migrate to the US. Actions speak louder.

I agree that both probably swing depending on who’ “winning”, although I bet that generally the Dems tend to be significantly less happy and therefore swing less, relatively.

Perhaps when you’re surrounded and significantly outnumbered by people who want you dead, and have almost succeeded in doing so very recently, you get a sense of purpose.

Am I the only one who is starting to feel the Gemini Flash models are better than Pro? Flash is super fast, gets straight to the point. Pro takes ages to even respond, then starts yapping endlessly, usually confuses itself in the process an

People really underestimate how much FAANG pays, all things considered. If you spent the last 10-15 years as an engineer/manager in FAANG (and these past 5-10 years have been very far from what’s called the “golden age”), and were fina

Large organizations provide economical value. Small organizations provide a sense of belonging. Both can and do exist at the same time. We don’t need to compare them using the same scales and we don’t need to sacrifice one for the other. Yo

On one hand you’re saying property rights and free markets, on the other you’re saying private entities should be kept in check (by who? I assume the government). Isn’t that a contradiction?

The problem is that once you load a tool’s response into context, there’s no telling what the LLM will do. You can escape it all you want, but maybe it contains the right magic words you haven’t thought of. The solution is to not load it in

I wrote in another comment that I think this pitch is a 10/10, but I think I understand the skepticism. There's something about this sort of product that feels inherently gimmicky. I can't quite explain why, maybe because it&
