Gun products sound very US-centric... And even there, there is lots of anti-gun sentiment. Are you sure you want to exclude most if not all of Europe, half of the US, and potentially more from your addressable market?

Bash is about pipelines which is a rather functional concept. If you can exploit these you can write succinct, readable and effective bash IMHO. If you're just stringing together a lot of conditionals it gets ugly fast.

I got punishment for messing about in class and was instructed to"write lines"... Something along the lines of "I must learn to behave in class and listen to my teacher" 100 times... I asked if I could type the lines rat

You must have worked in some pretty crappy places. For me a DevOps/sre/platform engineer (call it what you want) who can't code in bash + at least one other (node, golang, python) is just out.

Indeed. It's tongue-in-cheek. As an aside, I heard a rumour it was Regan, not Bush who first uttered it. As a second side, I'm not sure it's technically a malapropism.

This. I think the technique is called the (monolith) strangulation pattern. WRT Agile, you need some tech debt stories to break open the monolith and set up for strangulation. Then some more stories to pull out a part of the monolith that i

I'm also an atheist. You don't need sermons or allegories to be a good person in my view. Ethics, as a concept, and behaving in a ethical way is mostly common sense: Don't harm others, etc. If you want to go deeper, however,
