I don’t know OPs location but if they’re in SV - series anything isn’t enough to afford the Bay Area long term unless the wife is working at FAANG. I presume OP doesn’t live in SV because no way to buy just about any home here on a startup

It really depends on your definition of success. If you know enough Stanford grads - you’d know that many of them will consider themselves failures in life if they haven’t founded and IPO/sold a company for $100m+. I know quite a few l

What if you replace religion with Tahiti? Can you tell how stupid the question is then? You can’t just do arbitrary word replacement. Words have meaning and are context dependent .

Slave mentality back in the day (2000+ years ago) was converted into religious beliefs and then it got “mainstream” and all the religion that was focused on being a chad became unpopular thanks to this slave religion which made being a slav

Keep the debate lord behavior to online discourse. No one likes that shit in person. Debate lord is a pejorative for a reason.

I agree for the simple statement that blacklist and whitelist are not really descriptors but historical terms crafted by some weirdos in the 1600s. Blocklist and Passlist seem to carry the same number of syllables. So, seems like decent rep

It doesn’t really matter. In a toxic work environment - any dissenters are immediately pushed out. This is because toxic work environments have no intention of changing and need everyone to be a yes man. If you are not a yes man - you are m

You also need to be sitting down and practicing before/after though. Just exposing oneself to recruiters will not be sufficient. You need to practice and reflect - and then practice with real people. I think it’s similar to playing a s

Disagree. I’ve interviewed quite a few people who are prepping and are senior. Even for those who have been at FAANG before - it’s common to spend multiple months prepping nights and weekends. Taking a full two months off just to study is u

As long as housing is treated as an investment - people in SF will continue to not allow housing to be built.
