Genuinely, how much would this even pay? If you’re someone who was/is at faang and you’ve got a $2m mortgage - you’re gonna just bootstrap a $500k+/yr salary from the get go? This sentiment feels like something that maybe works in

Yeah, I think my frustrations have much more to do with the environment than coding or whatever. I don’t spend a ton of time coding and so my frustrations naturally are abundant. I think a lot of finance these days is kinda bullshit though.

Do people really enjoy this industry that much? I get the feeling we have a lot of outspoken people who write a lot but almost everyone I’ve ever met is trying to get the fuck out. They want to get their payday and FIRE. They’re not interes

Please don’t speak pseudoscience. Your body doesn’t violate the laws of thermodynamics. Your argumentation is saying if you stop eating you wont lose weight - which is blatantly false. No one dies of starvation being fat. It’s that simple.

This is YMMV. I still get a lot of “why don’t you drink?!! Come on, man!!” in the US. Especially in a city like NYC - you’re signing up to be a bit of a social outcast.
