That was my point, it might not have the best content on the internet,but it clearly has a huge user base, and a very active one. I don't get why it wouldn't be a good investment decision.

I have a group of friends that were thinking about doing something similar, unfortunately for them, they were just starting to shape the idea, while Mojang seems very ahead in development.

I was thinking the exact same thing, I feel very dissapointed every time I see something interesting at the top of HN, and when I'm going to try it out, there's no Linux version of it. It's like you said, if they want a good number of beta

Last week someone did a major fix to flash export, I haven't tested yet since it's not in the maven central repo yet, but if you use source code in google code, maybe you could test the state of flash now.

iOS port is in the works, it's not done yet, but there's a few people working on it, there's already a set of instructions in the google group on how to test a basic example of iOS, but it's not as complete as HTML and Android ports.

If you're making cross-platform games, you may want to take a look at playn, we have been using it for over 5 months, and it has been really easy to use and works really good, though some platforms are still a work in progress http://code.

As previous comments said, it is a lot better buying an used macbook, I had the same dilemma a year ago, tried with a hackintosh with no luck, a couple of months later I found an used macbook on ebay that it was in really good shape, still

But even if this was true, there is still ways around this right? I mean rEFIt does a pretty good job booting up Linux in Mac, so wouldn't this be possible in those PC's as well?
