You shouldn't think of YC as an alternative to work. It's an accelerator, it should just accelerate what you're already doing. It's not the endpoint for a startup or non-profit. If you've already started a non-profi

Stripe, Balanced and WePay are all moving in the same direction. Also WePay and Crowdtilt were doing similar things at the start but WePay seems to be focused on their API.

Reward based crowdfunding will become a payments/distribution mechanism for an already engaged audience rather than a free source of money for people with an idea and no way to execute on it.

I just moved to the valley and I love that they offer $10/m unlimited international calls and texts. They also offer free tethering up to 2.5GB's and unlimited data (w/o tethering). They claim not to slow you down at a certain point with un

I agree on the branding (doesn't sound like its about London startups) but having seen this site for a couple of weeks now there is a nice little community there. It makes sense to create a subreddit or site for London startups as there's a

Don't like the interface (makes it seem 100x more complicated than it is) but love the idea. I often hit my data cap, am in an area with slow or no data coverage or don't want to load up an app and would be happy to shoot a text off to get

I'm not sure how you can compete with the competition, which is focusing on tablets & mobile at this point. I don't use any social news 'apps' (I won't consider HN or Reddit an app but a destination) on the web, I either go directly to

Why not buy the .com too? Plaidio.com isn't taken, if a startup takes off 'io' doesn't work well anymore. I understand the io trend but I don't think that 'money.io' is ever going to be able to afford money.com.
